  • CabiPod A1 is 4.0m wide x 2.9m deep x2.5m tall externally and 3.5m wide x 2.4m deep x 2.1m tall internally, however, custom sizes are available.

  • All pods are fully customisable.

  • In general, yes – a planning application is usually required for small pod cabin houses.

    While permitted development rights may apply in certain cases, such as smaller pods in specific garden or house settings, experience shows that relying on lawful permitted development offers limited advantages over a full planning application.

    It is rarely quicker and often does not provide the same clarity or long-term certainty as an approved application.

  • Pods under 15m² are generally exempt from building regulations if not used for sleeping, while those between 15–30m² may also be exempt under certain conditions.

    However, if a pod is intended for habitation — including sleeping or living — it must comply with UK building regulations regardless of size.

    All our pods can be made fully building regulation compliant upon request to meet the standards for safety, insulation, and structural performance.

  • CabiPod A1 does not require specific foundations but we reccomend to prepare the area by levelling it and removing 150mm / 200mm of topsoil before installation commence.
